On Saturday 20th May Viktoria Plzeň played the 29th ePoijisteni.cz League round against Zbrojovka Brno. This match could indicate the championship holder of the current season 2016/17. The coach used 3 defenders for the starting line-up. Bakoš and Krmenčík were the forwards and the line-up involved recovered Václav Pilař, too. The match was finally decided by Michael Krmenčík at its very end.

Viktoria had the first chance of the match when Hubník crossed the ball to Krmenčík whose header finally caused no problems to the goalkeeper Melichárek. Since 16 minutes Tomáš Hořava played with a yellow card for a foul on Jan Polák. Brno mostly relied on their secured defence and quick breaks. However, those were successfully stopped by Viktoria´s defence. Lukáš Hejda had to leave the pitch because of his face injury. On 39 minutes Aleš Matějů joined his teammates on the pitch. The referee showed yellow cards to Bakoš and Zavadil for their clash and then to Václav Pilař as well. The 1st half-time was goalless.

The 2nd half was opened by Matějů´s header who was stopped by Melichárek. On 55 minutes Krmenčík also headed the ball towards the home gate but it failed. Soon after that Bakoš was substituted by Jan Kopic. On 59 minutes the goalkeeper Petr Bolek was shown a yellow card for tripping a running forward up. Brno scored two goals in the 2nd half, however, both of them were shot from off-side position so could not be counted. Viktoria set the pace of the 2nd half and let the home team in the offensice very rarely, nevertheless, they themselves could not get close to threaten the gate.
