It was really hard but the tie is fair, the strikers Krmenčík and Kopic agree
Viktoria Plzeň played the 3rd qualifying round match of the Champions League against Bucharest and were twice in lead but finally both teams tied 2-2. Michael Krmenčík and Jan Kopic scored the two goals.
„It was a very hard match for us. We wanted to score a goal, which we made twice, so we´re glad,“ the first scorer of the match comments. „We could save the leading more and it´s a shame we conceded both goals from free kicks. The first one was hit excellently and the second one touched David Limberský´s head and fell in the gate,“ Krmenčík says. He scored a goal according his own recipe. „My classical goal, I beat my man and hit the gate, I´m glad for it“ he describes. Before the rematch in Plzeň he wishes as big support of fans as possible. „Our position for the rematch is good so I´d like to invite all our fans to come and help us see them off,“ Krmenčík says resolutely.
„The match was physically demanding. Muggy weather, 30 thousand fans and closed roof. We touched the bottom,“ the second scorer Jan Kopic adds. „The tie 2-2 is a good result for the rematch, which we should confirm at home, however, our opponent is of high quality and they can take advantage of every our fault,“ he is careful when predicting the rematch´s result. Kopic scored his goal after Kolář´s pass „Kolda tries it like this sometimes. I recognized he´d shot on goal so I looked for a good position for possible rebounded ball and luckily the goalkeeper hit me,“ Kopic is glad. „Now we know we can play and equal game with our opponent. I believe we can make it,“ Jan Kopic closes.
