Shortly before Christmas, Viktoria prepared the first gift for the fans and introduced a new signing. The red and blue jersey will be worn by twenty-four-year-old midfielder Roman Květ, who comes from Bohemians 1905 and signed a three-year contract at the Doosan Arena. Goalkeeper Martin Jedlička is heading in the opposite direction and will be for a loan in Prague´s club.

The 24-year-old offensive midfielder had a very successful first half of the season in the Czech League, scoring nine goals and two assists. He will be looking to build on this great record in the upcoming year in a Viktorian jersey, having signed a three-year contract with the club.

"Roman Květ is at an ideal footballing age and has impressed us with his performances, being one of the standout figures for his team in the autumn. In addition, he had great numbers, he was able to assert himself in the end. We believe that he will be an asset to our squad and will continue in his great performance," commented Daniel Kolář, the club´s sports director.

Head coach Michal Bílek had similar words for the new player. "He has a lot of league experience for his age and he can be used in more places in the line-up. Moreover, Pavel Horváth knows him very well from their joint engagement in Příbram. I am glad to welcome him to our squad right at the start of the preparation," said the Viktorian coach.

"I am very happy that such an offer came, there was not much to think about. Viktoria is a great club with top facilities, the current league champion and has the highest ambitions again," said Roman Květ, who was at the Doosan Arena as a spectator during the Champions League match against Barcelona. "There was a great atmosphere here. It is my goal to be able to experience such a match with Viktoria as a player on the pitch one day. There is a big challenge ahead of me and I am looking forward to it," he was clear about his goals.

"We want to thank Mr. Šádek and Viktoria for their confidence in Roman´s qualities and also say big thank you to Bohemians where he has developed into one of the league´s best players. We wish Roman and Viktoria much success together," concluded Pavel Zíka, chairman of the board of Global Sports, which represents the player.

Roman Kvet has already had his first meeting with the Viktorian fans. Viktoria officially introduced him at Christmas in Viktoria event, which was attended by the whole team. Over a thousand fans welcomed the new signing with thunderous applause and the player was able to greet them personally. "It was great, I enjoyed it and thank you for the lovely welcome. I can´t wait to run out for my first match," said the 24-year-old footballer.

Roman Květ is an product of Příbram, in whose kit he made his league debut in 2016. Three years ago he changed his team and played for Bohemians 1905. He has 131 league starts in total, scoring 19 goals and recording 13 assists.

Martin Jedlička goes on loan, Adam Zadražil is on trials

Goalkeeper Martin Jedlička is leaving for Bohemians 1905. He will be on a loan in Ďolíček in the spring part of the season. "It is a reasonable step for both sides, because Martin is a very good goalkeeper and needs to start regularly. I believe that he will be a significant reinforcement for Bohemka," commented Daniel Kolář.

Martin Jedlička came to Viktoria in the summer from Dunajská Streda, where he has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the local competition and has signed a three-year contract with the club.

On the other hand, twenty-two-year-old goalkeeper Adam Zadražil from the second league Tábor has been on trials in Viktoria since the beginning of the preparation.
