Koubek´s team had a hard fight. In the end, Tomas Chorý made the decisive goal and Viktoria won 2:1. At the post-match press conference Miroslav Koubek answered the questions of the journalists.

How difficult was today´s win and how do you appreciate the three points?

The win wasn´t easy. It´s never easy for anyone in Jablonec. Already after Geneva we had to think about how to approach the match in terms of personnel. We needed to get at least fifty percent fresh blood in the lineup, and we did it. We changed the flanks, Idjessi Metsoka came in, Lukas Kalvach also rested for part of the game. Lukáš Hejda came in for Vasek Jemelka. It was hard to hit the mark and put a good strategy on this new lineup. In the end it worked, so I can say that we succeeded.

Was it difficult to deal with the terrain here in Jablonec?

The terrain was difficult. Jablonec is used to playing here. We had to drop the technical style a little bit and we chose the players for that. We knew they would try to play long balls through Martins, who would extend them behind the defence. At certain points, we resorted to that play as well. We made one mistake in intercepting those balls and it cost us a goal at 1-1. It was difficult for us at that point. Matěj Vydra then managed to cut out Matěj Polidar with his hunger. That´s when we got back from the dugout. We took advantage of the power play.

Tomas Chorý saved Viktoria Plzeň again today. Is he almost indispensable for you anymore?

Tomáš Chorý is extremely important for us. We agreed with the boys that we won´t think about the national team meeting now. They put the rest of their energy into it. Pavel Šulc and Tomáš Chorý ran over 15 kilometres with Geneva and today they lasted the whole game. They are incredible portions.

Idjessi Metsoko made his debut today. What do you think about his performance?

Metsoko has been with us for almost a month now, so we gave him an opportunity in the game. He has learnt and practiced some things. He´s still a player who is unprepared, untrained, but today I decided that because of the terrain we will have to kick it sometimes and a player like habán will be good for you. He´s an attacking player, he´s got a move on goal and he´s got a chance. Unfortunately, he shot wide.

We´re on a national break. Do your nominees have a chance to break through?

I can´t answer that question, that´s up to Ivan Hašek. They could get a chance in at least one game. What will be the minutes, that´s another thing.
