On Friday, we will find out the names of the eight opponents we will face in the group stage of the Europa League. The draw will take place at 13:00
Eight attractive opponents, eight attractive matches in the Europa League. Four at home in the Doosan Arena, four away.
We will find out more this Friday, when the draw will take place at 13:00 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco (you can watch it live on uefa.com). How will it work? The draw balls are a thing of the past; everything will be controlled digitally by a computer, just like last year.
All 36 teams will be divided into four pots based on club coefficients. Two opponents will then be drawn from each pot (one home game, one away game). The rule also applies that we cannot face another Czech participant and can only play against two teams from each country.
On Friday, we will find out the names of the four opponents for the matches at Doosan Arena and the four opponents for the away matches.
UEFA will specify the exact dates and times of the matches by Sunday at the latest.
However, we can already take a look at the names of potential opponents. The complete list and division into individual pots will be known on Friday morning (after the Champions League and Europa League playoffs have been completed). Confirmed participants include AS Roma, Aston Villa, Nottingham, Nice, and Bologna. And also Lyon with Pavel Šulc, which would be a wonderful meeting, don´t you think, Viktoria fans?
