Viktoria repeated history. For the second time they made it to advance to the round of 16 of the Europa League even thought they were outsiders according the the paper assumptions. Last year against Napoli as well as this year against Donetsk Viktoria proved Europe have to count them.

One of the biggest support of the team in Ukraine was the goalkeeper Petr Bolek. „I felt a bit nervous before the match but when I touched the ball for the first time I calmed down. I think I couldn´t have a better comeback on the pitch. The team helped me a lot, without high-quality defence we´d play nothing,“ he says humbly. „Some of us made jokes we´re going to Donestk for round of 16. But when I saw how difficult the match was, especially with the end approaching, we were dead lucky. We made it and the feeling tastes great,“ he says. Bolek thinks that it was the luck, which influenced the match the most of all other factors. „There were a lof of situations like that. If the ball went to a bit different place, they´d definitely score. The luckiest moment for me was in the 1st half when they hit my feet. It could also be the breaking moment of the whole match. If the opponent scored, they´d know they´d play it till the successful ending,“ Bolek describes.

The goalkepper, who substituted Viktoria´s injured nr. 1 Matúš Kozáčik, seemed very calm and concentrated. When was the most critical moment for him? „There were more situations like this. With the time passing the opponent heated us more and more I saw in my colleagues´ faces it´s too much for them. When we got a goal I didn´t even know how many minutes the referee´d add. I was so happy when he´d blown the end f the match and we won,“ he closes.
