Pavel Vrba's line-up remained unchanged in comparison to the match v CSKA but his team didn't have a good start this time. The hosts were more dangerous since kick-off and Michal Trávník took advantage of that as he scored twice until the break. Jan Chramosta added the last goal and adjusted the final result to 3-0 for Jablonec.

The hosts were active right away. First Chramosta's shot was saved by Kozáčik, then Masopust's attempt from left side flew above the top bar. Holeš tried his luck with a shot just outside the box but it lacked enough power.

About 30 minutes into the match, the hosts turned their pressure into opening goal. Chramosta found Michal Trávník with his cross and he then headed the ball off the post and behind Kozáčik's back. Plzeň played mostly in the midfield without almost any action around opponent's penalty area.

Jablonec increased their lead shortly before the break with the same signature beneath it – Chramosta – Trávník. The latter one took a nice one-touch shot and placed it perfectly into the back top corner.

Pavel Vrba sent in Aleš Čermák instead of Kolář at halftime but Jablonec continued in their dangerous game on counter-attacks and 10 minutes later they added the third goal. Jan Chramosta headed the cross from corner kick right towards Kozáčik from a close distance and scored.

Tomáš Chorý and Ubong Ekpai were given a chance later on but neither of them managed to put Pilsen on board and do something with the match's result. As nothing went well for Viktoria on the day, the skipper Roman Hubník sustained an injury in the final minutes and couldn't finish the match.

Pavel Vrba's Commentary

"Jablonec played very well, we were a step behind during the whole match and they deserved to win. Their movement was better, they won more tackles and were more aggressive. The result is fair," the head coach Pavel Vrba had to admit. "We also had some chances but we lacked a shooting accuracy," he added.
