The Victorians had their second preparatory match, which was again played at the training ground next to the hotel in Benidorm. Amar Memic scored both goals in the second half and Viktoria won 2-0.
In the second preparatory match in Benidorm, Viktoria played against the Polish team Piast Gliwice, in whose jersey also appeared Erik Jirka, who recently transferred there. The coaching staff gave four Viktoria players - Martin Jedlička, Lukáš Kalvach, Matyáš Šilhavý and Rafiu Durosinmi, who is working on his comeback and is already in full training with the team.
According to the plan, the two halves were supposed to be played with different elevens, but during the first half Cheick Souaré had to make a forced substitution and midfielder Jan Kopic came on the field early. Viktoria definitely had more chances in the first half. For example, attempts by Prince Adua (18´) and Matej Vydra (26´) called for a goal, while Pavel Šulc´s big chance in the 32nd minute was blocked by defenders. The visitors tried only once with a shot from distance, but it ended up outside Marian Tvrdona´s three poles.
In the second half, Viktoria took the lead. Jan Kopic knocked the ball down for Amar Memic and he just sent it uncompromisingly into the net, the scoreboard at that moment showed the 57th minute. The Bosnian midfielder thus registered his debut goal in the red and blue jersey. And he didn´t stop at just one!
After a wing action, he got through from the rebound and again sent the ball exactly behind the goalkeeper´s back. Lukáš Hejda had another chance after a corner kick, but his shot was just wide. Viktoria´s defence worked reliably and the score remained unchanged until the end of the match. Viktoria thus recorded their first win in Spain after a 2-2 draw with Paderborn.
Once again, we have post-match Victorians´ comments and highlights.
The last preparatory match awaits coach Miroslav Koubek´s charges on Thursday against AIK Stockholm. A stream of the game will be available for fans again.
