The first league round is over. Viktoria won 5:1 on the field of Pardubice. Matěj Vydra scored twice, Karel Spáčil scored his first goal, Pavel Šulc scored a beautiful goal and Rafiu Durosinmi closed the whole thing.
Coach Miroslav Koubek sent the same line-up as in the dress rehearsal with Bochum in the opening league round. And while the Victorian fans were still filling their sector (thank you for the amazing support!), the players bit into their opponents right from the opening whistle.
And the first goal of the new Chance League season was just two minutes away, when new captain Matěj Vydra scored. He continued his great shooting form from the preparation and sent Viktorka into the lead.
A passage of play followed, when the Viktorians played several corners in a row. During one of them Tomáš Ladra planted the ball precisely on the head of Karel Spáčil and the newcomer in the Victorian jersey decorated his first sharp game with his second goal.
The home side had their first chance in the 34th minute when Sychra´s shot was unfortunately headed by Václav Jemelka and the ball fell behind Martin Jedlicka.
But Viktorka answered before half-time. And it was a great shot! Pavel Šulc leaned on the ball and sent it with a beautiful shot to the back post. The score was 3:1 for the red and blue.
In the second act, Tomas Ladra repeated his cooperation during a corner kick, centering to Matej Vydra, who increased the score to 4:1.
Rafiu Durosinmi capped off the goal shootout when Matěj Vydra dropped the ball between his legs and it beat the goalkeeper, adjusting the score to the final 5-1.
Victorians, thank you for the great support and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday at home in Doosan Arena! If you don´t have tickets for the game against Servette FC, you can get them HERE.
