Viktoria Plzeň presents its new signing. Twenty-year-old Guinean striker Mohamed Toure, who comes from Finnish champions Kuopion Palloseura, signed a three-and-a-half-year contract today at the Doosan Arena.
Before the end of the winter transfer window, head coach Martin Hyský welcomes new striker Mohamed Toure to his squad. Toure most recently played for Finnish club KuPS, for whom he played a total of 52 games, scored 18 goals, and contributed to the championship title last season. He also played in the European Conference League in the fall.
"He is a young and very interesting striker whom we spotted in Finland. He is fast, scores goals, and has enormous potential for further growth. These are the attributes that caught our attention, and we decided to sign him to our club," said Viktoria´s sporting director Martin Vozábal.

Given that the Finnish league is played on a spring-autumn basis, Mohamed Toure moved to Štruncovy sady directly from Spain, where he was on a training camp with his team. "He will therefore join the team and training immediately," added the sporting director.
"Wearing the Viktoria jersey is a huge challenge for me. I know the club very well from European matches, and it´s great to be here now," said Mohamed Toure after signing a three-and-a-half-year contract.
"We had a great season in Finland, becoming champions and qualifying for the Conference League. So the transfer comes at the right time for me, and I´m looking forward to my new engagement. I will do everything I can to prove myself; I am extremely motivated," concluded the footballer.
