Jan Kovařík crossed the ball out of the penalty area, Rajtoral was the first one to touch it and his blocked shot rebounded to Kopic who scored – 1:0! The forward Ožegović was the most active player of Vojvodina but when he appeared close to the goal he was desperately unsupported by his team-mates. The Doosan Arena waited for the next bigger goal chance until 40 minutes. Ďuriš crossed the ball to Kolář in front of Vojvodina´s goal but he missed the target. On 43 minutes Vaněk also had an effort on goal but the goalkeeper Žakula rebounded it off the goal. The half-time result was 1:0 for Viktoria.

6 minutes after the break Viktoria appeared in a very promising chance. Ondřej Vaněk shot on goal and scored! 2:0. On 56 minutes Ďuriš tried to pass the ball to Kopic after a quick break but he was far from the ball. The Serbian team wanted to increase their activity but Plzeň were ready for this scenario and were patient in combination. When Vojvodina possessed the ball Viktoria were very careful in the defensive work. On 68 minutes Daniel Kolář left the pitch and was substituted by Tomáš Hořava. After a corner on 72 minutes Ďuriš headed the ball to the goalkeeper but he was ready this time. On 77 minutes Viktoria substituted again – Jan Kovařík was replaced by Milan Petržela. The emotions in the last minutes were tangible and Viktoria scored for the 3rd time. Fresh Petržela placed the ball to Jan Kopic and the goalkeeper was helpless – 3:0 for Viktoria! On 85 minutes the coach Karel Krejčí made the third substitution and Ďuriš was replaced by Holenda. 3:0 was the final result of the match and Viktoria created a great position for the rematch.
