The Europa League has arrived at the Doosan Arena again. This time the opponent of Viktoria from Pilsen was Real Sociedad from Spain. Viktoria played a sensational match and won 2:1. Prince Adu and Daniel Vasulin scored for the home team.

From the first minute, the Victorians fans created an incredible atmosphere. The only goal was to get the first three points in the European table. The Doosan Arena was filled with shouts such as "We want promotion," and many more. This support reaped its proper fruit. Prince Adu rewarded them with a goal to open the scoring. Viktoria made it clear to the Spanish side that they were not going to play second fiddle. The San Sebastian players wanted to get back into the game, but Martin Jedlička had the opposite opinion. He easily dispatched their attempts.

On the other hand, the Red and Blue made their presence felt again. First, Adu finished his individual action with a shot to the far post. Unfortunately for him, a defender intervened in time and knocked his shot out of danger. Lukáš Červ followed his teammate. He narrowly missed the goal. In the 34th minute, Real Sociedad equalised at 1-1. Moments later, Martin Jedlička was again excellent. He first defused a standard situation and then dived under the feet of the lone player in the golden jersey in time. The main referee called an end to the first half, which ended in a draw, after two minutes of setup.

At the beginning of the second half Viktorka chose the same strategy and wanted to strike before the visiting players could get their feet wet again. Pavel Šulc won the ball on the corner of the net and immediately tested the goalkeeper´s attention. The one who gave Real Sociedad the most trouble was the fantastic Martin Jedlička. His defiance not to let another ball go behind his back caused a lot of frustration for the visiting players. In the 60th minute, Adu tried to lob the onrushing goalkeeper, but he read his intention and didn´t get caught out. Pilsen´s defence was well composed and nullified many shots in their infancy.

Twenty minutes before the end of the match, the Victorians claimed a penalty kick after a visiting defender played his hand in the whitewash. However, VAR confirmed no such thing and play continued. Throughout the match the fans were on their feet as they kept on pushing our players to victory. In the 90th minute, the turning point of the match came. The Doosan Arena lit up with joy when Daniel Vasulin crossed a shot by Lukáš Kalvach that split the net. Five minutes separated us from the coveted victory. The Victorians did not let their first Europa League victory slip away during this time, defeating Real Sociedad by a final score of 2-1.
