Goalkeeper Martin Jedlička will spend the spring part of the season on loan at Baník Ostrava, which he joined today.

"Martin Jedlička had an agreement with the club that he would primarily seek employment abroad. However, in the end, there was a change and the player decided to stay in the country and accept Baník´s offer. He is therefore leaving for Silesia on a six-month loan, which also includes an option for a possible summer transfer," said Martin Vozábal, sporting director of Viktoria Plzeň.

The soon-to-be 28-year-old goalkeeper came to Viktoria four years ago from Dunajská Streda. He played a total of 88 games in the Viktoria goal in domestic and European competitions, recording 35 clean sheets. He is now moving to Baník Ostrava on a six-month loan with an option to buy.

"We would like to thank Martin for everything he has done for our club. We wish him all the best for the future, both professionally and personally," concluded Martin Vozábal.
