On Saturday 19th May the Doosan Arena saw a battle that could definitely decide about the owner of the Czech champion trophy holder of the 2017/18 season. If Viktoria won, they could have lifted the trophy up.

The coach Vrba used Chorý and Krmenčík for the starting line-up and they were supported by Hořava and Hrošovský from the midfield and by Petržela and Kopic from the sides. Jan Kopic was the first to threaten the goal. On 14 minutes he lacked a shooting accuracy. On 21 minutes Teplice´s defence blocked Havel´s attempt but 3 minutes later they waved the opponent´s net. After Chorý´s pass Krmenčík kicked the ball and the Doosan Arena burst out of joy – 1-0! On 35 minutes Krmenčík had an effort on goal again but this time Diviš caught it. Matúš Kozáčik was quite busy until the end of the 1st half as well because Teplice had two chances. The 1st half result was 1-0 for Viktoria.

The 2nd half started by a yellow card for the defender Radim Řezník. On 55 minutes the same player placed the ball behind the goal line but the referee did not count the goal for being off-side. Several moments later Jan Kopic appeared in another big chance but face to face to the goalkeeper Diviš he failed in scoring. Milan Petržela changed the situation after that when he shot a long-distance attempt on goal and sent his team to 2-goals leading. On 71 minutes Tomáš Chorý was substituted by Daniel Kolář. 10 minutes before the end the first goal scorer left the pitch, too – Michael Krmenčík was replaced by Marek Bakoš. On 85 minutes David Vaněček reduced the score to 2-1. The junior Ondřej Štursa came on the pitch to feel the league atmopshere for the final moments of the match.

The final whistle meant Viktoria won the 5th champion title in the club´s history!
