Great news for all Viktorians before the end of the year. Jhon Mosquera has today signed a new contract with the club for another two years!
The native of Cali, Colombia, joined Viktoria a year and a half ago from Liberec. He quickly proved his qualities and became an important part of the team that won the league title. He also played a big part in the Champions League qualification. Today, Jhon Mosquera signed a two-year contract extension with the club.
"We are happy that a mutual agreement has been reached and Jhon will continue to wear our kit in the coming seasons. We feel a huge motivation from him to build on his previous successes and do his best on the pitch. I wish him good health and I look forward to his further great performances," said Daniel Kolář, the club´s sports director, during the signing ceremony.
"I came to Viktoria to win titles. At the beginning, many people didn´t believe me, but I just felt that we had it in us and we did it. Moreover, we played in the Champions League. These are the moments for which I play football. I want to prepare as much as possible for every match and I believe that together we will still be very successful," said Jhon Mosquera. "Plus, I feel very comfortable here, the club is like a family," he added.
"I can confirm that Jhon has found excellent training and recovery facilities in Viktoria and he feels very happy there. This is the basis for him to be able to perform at the top level and it was a priority for us to keep him in the club," told Petr Bartoníček, who represents the player.
Jhon Edison Mosquera Rebolledo, as his full name sounds, played 67 games for Viktoria, scoring 15 goals, two of which were in European Cups. Now it is clear that he will improve this statistic significantly.
