Prince Kwabena Adu becomes a new player of Viktoria Plzeň. The 20-year-old Ghanaian striker arrives from Kryvbas and has signed a three-year contract with the club.
The young striker recently played for Ukrainian team Kryvbas FC in the 3rd round of the Europa League at the DOOSAN Arena. He even scored a goal in the first match in Košice. Now he has signed a three-year contract with our club.
"With the European Cup qualification, we have a demanding schedule on three fronts and we want to be as prepared as possible. We knew about the player, moreover, he impressed us a lot during the mutual duels with Kryvbas. He is a strong, fast and technically equipped striker. When the opportunity arose to bring him to our team, we reacted and we promise to increase the competition in the offense," commented Daniel Kolář, the club´s sports director.
Prince Kwabenda Adu used to play for Ghanaian football club Bechem United, he headed to Ukraine´s Kryvbas via Isloch Minsk a year ago. In the current season, he has played 3 league games and scored one goal, adding another in European qualifying. "Again, he is a talented footballer in terms of age and wants to develop and move on in his career. He will have all the conditions and prerequisites for that with us," adds Daniel Kolář.
"I have seen with my own eyes what a quality club Viktorka is. It plays interesting football and has great fans. I am looking forward to my new engagement, it is a huge challenge for me," the 20-year-old footballer, who signed a three-year contract, is clear.
As he has hit the 3rd preliminary round of the Europa League, he cannot be available to coach Miroslav Koubek on Thursday in Scotland. So he will stay at home, undergo individual training and on Sunday he can make his debut in the Czech top competition at Slovan Liberec. At the same time, he will be able to play in the European Cup group stage. "I will keep my fingers crossed for the boys on Thursday so that they can do everything and then we can play the Europa League together," Prince Adu concludes.
Adu, welcome to Viktoria!
