Both teams entered the match quite softly. Jan Kovařík and Jean-David Beauguel were the first to have dangerous shots, however, both attempts flew off the Livakovic’s goal. The visitors performed a promising action about 30 minutes into the game. Dani Olmo played individually on the right side and crossed a low ball into the box but Šituma’s shot was stopped by Luděk Pernica’s head.

Dinamo finally got in leading before the break. Bruno Petkovic passed the ball to free Olma in the box and he acted smartly when having lobbed running-out Kozáčik. The Croatian team was in leading 1-0.

Viktorians began the second half as it was needed. Luděk Pernica excellently stopped Zagreb’s counterattack and then he set an action. The centre back run with the ball, passed it to the left to Beauguel, he returned it to him in the box and the 28-years-old defender scored his first goal for Viktoria – 1-1!

Zagreb playing in phosporescent colours had a chance to turn the score back on their side. Mislav Orsic had an effort on the edge of the box but he missed the target. 15 minutes before the end Plzeň could also add one more goal but he failed in scoring, too. Also Roman Procházka was not successful when shooting towards Dominik Livakovic.

This night finally completely belonged to Luděk Pernica! Patrik Hrošovský’s crossed ball from a corner flew to Roman Procházka’s head who prolonged it to Pernica. The hero of the match scored again and turned the victory on their side. Viktorians beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 thanks to Pernica’s two goals.

Luděk Pernica’s Commentary

“Although I’m the type who doesn’t speak higly about himself, I have to say the first goal was great, it came off well,“ he was smiling. „The second goal was classic from a corner when I was at back upright and Prochy excellently passed the ball to me,“ he described both goal moments. He also reminded of his last two-goal match. “Those were my first league goals. I played for Brno in České Budějovice and came on pitch as a substitute in the 55th minute at a right back position, I scored both goals during 5 minutes.“
